We're a faith-filled family from North Carolina, built on love, laughter, and a whole lot of adventure. Brooke and Jeffrey (a.k.a. Mom and Dad) are raising five amazing kids — Kayla, Kayden, Carter, Lilly, and our foster son — in a home where grace leads and everyone belongs.

Meet Captain Mito
Born to guide
Dulorier “Mito” Milforde has been guiding unforgettable excursions for over 10 years, sharing his passion for adventure and the beauty of the Dominican Republic with travelers from around the world. Born on November 10th in Haiti, Mito earned his nickname as a child, and it has stuck ever since — a name that guests now associate with fun, safety, and authentic island experiences.
A proud Hasten man, Mito brings not only his expertise but also his heart to every adventure. Married to Fonrose and a devoted father of four, he understands the importance of family, connection, and creating joyful memories — values he instills in every tour he leads.
Mito particularly loves guiding excursions because it gives him the chance to meet people from all over the world and share the warmth, beauty, and culture of the Dominican Republic with them. Whether leading ATV rides, horseback adventures, dolphin encounters, or island tours, Mito’s warmth, professionalism, and love for the island make every excursion with Captain Mito’s Island Adventures a truly memorable experience.
