Embark on a full-day Cultural Discovery Tour and immerse yourself in the rich history, traditions, and natural beauty of the Dominican Republic. Your day begins with an 8:00 AM pickup from Los Colares Beach, followed by a scenic 45-minute drive to Higüey to visit the stunning Basilica Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia, a landmark renowned for its soaring architecture and cultural significance. Next, explore a local cacao and coffee plantation, learning how these iconic crops are grown, harvested, and prepared, and enjoy fresh tastings straight from the source. Continue to a tobacco workshop to witness the art of hand-rolled cigars and even try your hand at the process. A 15-minute horseback ride through the picturesque countryside adds a touch of adventure, followed by a visit to a lively local street market where you can sample Dominican street food and interact with friendly locals. Finally, relax at the pristine Macao Beach, with time to swim or simply enjoy the ocean views, before a scenic drive back to Los Colares Beach, leaving with unforgettable memories and a deeper connection to Dominican culture.
